Outlaw Practice

Getting Started

Your Account

The avatar menu in the top corner: your profile, password and email, firm billing, and logging out safely.

Your personal account lives behind your avatar in the top corner of the app. Hover (or tap) it and a menu opens with your name and email at the top, then: My Profile, Billing (firm owners only), Settings, Support, What’s New (for a week after each release), and Log Out.

The Settings entry expands into the same seven categories documented in Settings, and Support shows your exact client and server versions as one-click copyable text: the first thing to grab when contacting support.

My Profile

Everything about you, in one dialog:

  • Profile picture: click the avatar to upload one; it’s resized automatically.
  • Name: your first, middle, and last name as they appear throughout the app.
  • Email: your email is your login, so changing it is an explicit step: Change Email, type the new address, Submit Change. It must not be in use by another user, and you need to be online.
  • Change Password: starts a secure password change through the login service.

Billing

Firm owners see a Billing entry covering the firm’s Outlaw Practice subscription itself: status, licensed users, billing period, monthly cost, the upcoming invoice, and recent invoices. Manage Payment Methods opens the secure billing portal to update your card. You can cancel the subscription from here. Access continues to the end of the paid period, and you can reactivate any time before that date.

Logging Out

If any record is still open for editing, Log Out is disabled until you finish or discard those edits. The menu tells you why it’s waiting. Changes you’ve already saved don’t hold you up, even if they haven’t finished syncing yet; see Working Offline for how that works.
