Contact Methods
A contact's phone numbers, emails, and addresses, each with attributes that control how Outlaw uses them.
You'll find this section on a contact.
The Contact Methods section holds the ways to reach a contact. There are three types (phone, email, and address), and each carries a few attributes that tell Outlaw how to treat it.
The Attributes
- Is Primary: the default to use when a method of that type is needed, marked with a gold star. Only one phone, one email, and one address can be primary. Setting a new primary clears the old one automatically. When Outlaw needs a method (for example, prefilling a payment method), it picks the primary one.
- Can Contact: turn this off for a method that should never be used for correspondence (say, an email the opposing party can read). It’s never auto-selected, and it’s shown struck through as a visual warning.
- Is Current: used only for addresses, to mark which of several addresses the contact actually receives mail at.
Where You’ll See It
Contact Methods appears on a contact. The primary email, phone, and address flow through to other parts of Outlaw (for instance, prefilling details when you set up a payment method). This is the client’s own information; in the client portal it shows as their emails, phone numbers, and addresses.
